Introduction

In 2018, Ray Chinese School started a speech club organized by a group of local high schoolers. At the same time, the school supported multiple debate events organized by the local debate club led by high school students.

In 2019, RCS Youth Speech and Debate Club were formally founded, which includes both speech and debate activities. Since then, the club has organized multiple events led by local high school students.

In 2022, as the club has assisted Pacifica-Ray Chinese School's creative writing event, the club has included writing in its activities.

The club is always open to high schoolers who are interested in speech, debate, and creative writing. If you are interested, please contact the following emails:

Assist Zhejiang university Alumni Association hosting Youth Civic Education (April 29th 2023)

Assist the activity of Meeting With Naperville Mayor Candidates (March 2023)

The club has assisted school to invite Naperville mayoral candidates Benny White and Scott Wehrli to meet with school parents.

The club has helped the school organize student volunteers for teaching assistance and school event assistance.

2023 Pacifica Square-Ray Chinese School Creative Writing Contest ( November 2022-Feburary 2023).

The above event was aimed at encouraging youth to practice their English writing skills. The club invited the Winfall Group to sponsor the event and invited graduate students from the Stanford University Writing Club to score the submissions. More than 100 high school and middle school students participated in the competition

Made Ray Chinese School 30 Year Anniversary Memory Video. (May 2022 to October 2022)

The club interviewed school staff, teachers, and students, took photos and videos of class activities, and created a memory video for the Ray Chinese School 30 Year Celebration. The video was shown to guests during the celebration The vide can be viewed in following link:
