The class expands two semesters and includes:

and subtraction through 5 digits
- Multiplying
through 3 digits by 2 digits
- Dividing
2 and 3 digits by 1 digit
- Introduction
of fractions, decimals, and money
- Customary
and metric measurements (length, perimeter, area, liquid volume, weight)
- Graphs
(bar graph, line graph)
- Introduction
to probability
- Basic
concepts in geometry (line, plane figures, solid figures, parallel and
perpendicular lines, ordered pairs on a coordinate plane)
- Preparing
for algebra (number and geometric patterns, number sentences)

- Fraction
addition and subtraction
- Multiplying
and dividing fractions
- Customary
and metric measurements (length, perimeter, area, volume, liquid volume,
weight, temperature, time)
- Graphs
and probability
- Basic
concepts in geometry
- Preparing
for algebra (variables and variable expressions)
